5-1 Flow: You are makers
You are creative beings, with the ability to transmute thought into form. And so you make the world, for better or worse.
As we have said, you must take what we teach and test it in the world. Take these concepts, which Amy translates from thought stream onto the page and translate them, in your way, from the page and into action. This is the way of change, of expansion. This is the way of the flow and when the flow moves through a human being it becomes creativity: for you are translators, here to translate energy of thought/imagery/vision into action. And by your action, into new forms. In other words, you are makers.
You are makers.
And it is no accident that you, Amy, married an architect early in your life. For together you are doing the same work – moving inspiration into imagery and imagery into form. You are as mirrors. For the poets are the pattern readers and the architects are the pattern mappers, who see the maps of the built world before it takes form.
Likewise, nature's pattern holders are the nature spirits, the devas, who hold the maps of the natural world; and just as every building has an architect, so every leaf and tree, every plant and flower has a deva of its own; one who knows its way and its name, one who re-minds it, steadily, what it is.
The devas ‘hold pattern’ inside of space and time (space/time) in the world of forms (manifest world). It is through ‘knowing’ and holding these forms that nature co-creates/makes the world with you - and with the One intelligence that maps and holds the vision space for the field of all creation.
So there is the opening (space) and the call for something to be placed there. The ‘call’ emerges as the space opens. And that 'something' is a dream (vision/image) with a name and intention of its own. And this intention arises with the opening - as an answer arises with its question.
In other words, the call to fill in a blank space or solve a particular problem contains the blueprint (pattern) for its solution. This pattern guides the one who draws the map into form.
And we are showing Amy many images, to demonstrate how forms are in-spired: brought as dream (vision) first and then, drawn down into the body through curiosity; how visions are 'animated' by the application of attention to them. And how these 'animated' thought forms are drawn further into form, and given life through your action.
These patterns inspire you to movement, and these movements have effects in the world.
We are pointing to the movement of speech - and patterns of words, which join together to make spoken or written messages.
We are pointing to the movement and patterns of planting, which join together as gardens and farms, yielding flowers and food.
We are pointing to the movements of choreography, which flow through the bodies of dancers, to yield leaps and twirls across a stage.
We are pointing to the patterns and movements of music, which yield symphonies, operas, popular songs. You are creative beings, with the ability to transmute thought into form.
Where there was no-thing an opening emerges and with it, the call for something to be placed there. And that something has an intention of its own. An intention that manifests with the emergence of the call. (In other words, the opening knows what it is calling for. And it calls for that and it calls that to itself by the specific pattern/energy signature of only that - a signature held only by that which would fill this space at this time. We might say, emergence calls to itself by name.)
And this pattern/this shape/this knowing guides the one who makes pattern into form. As the architect draws the map of a building onto paper, he is seeing the vision of that building in his mind’s eye – as an image. And that image came from a thought, and that thought was inspired by the emergence of an opening in the imaginal field of the world.
And we are showing Amy this sequence, which she will set down for us.
An opening appears - a gap where something new is needed here? What are its qualities.
The GAP suggests a problem. Something needs to be put here.
The PROBLEM emerges with its solution: A vision forms.
The VISION calls to the CREATOR, planting itself like a seed in the mind and heart of the maker.
The SEED/VISION calls the Creator into action.
Guided by the pattern in the SEED/VISION, the CREATOR ‘draws ’ the image into form.
As bees follow the pattern of the honeycomb, as leaves always 'know' what color and shape they will be, as cells divide, 'knowing' how to develop into baby humans, there are patterns to these things; patterns which contain consciousness, intention and design.
When we look at what is before us from this perspective, we discover the remarkable truth: the pattern for human beings is the answer to a particular question, which was asked long ago by the One who holds the vision for the created world. What was that question? Look at a human being and you will know. Look at your qualities. Look at your nature.
For it is by looking at the qualities of a thing - a human being, a bird or a stone - that we can infer, from our observation of it, those qualities which make it this thing and not another. By this inquiry we may discover the purpose. We can ask: What space in the world was this human being designed to fill? What question arose to which this specific someone was the answer - the ONLY answer? What call emerged from the fullness of creation to which there could be no response but this?
By looking at the qualities of a thing (or a person) we might deduce its purpose. And out of that, we might begin to wonder: Who was the One noticing these openings? Who observed the gap, the question the call? Who responded? In other words, who made the world as it is? Who made the stone, the tree, the man? For all of these things have their pattern and for all things a pattern holder to whisper each thing into form in its own way.
There must have been a pattern-maker. Some sort of responder. Some sort of designer. One may say that this ‘designer’ was Creation itself. Another may point to a Creator God and give that God a name. Our purpose is not to solve this mystery today - for like all mysteries, this one is an echoing hall of mirrors.
We can get lost in the infinite reflections of the Creator in the creation, asking: Who created the Creator? And Who created that? Ad infinitum. A discussion which has been going on since man and woman first opened eyes onto this world. And so, while we are willing to engage that conversation if you wish to have it, that is not our purpose for today.
Today’s message is about Holding and Pattern Making
For there is work to be done, which will require some understanding of how these things operate/flow in the world.
This work to be done involves your willingness to see and imagine (en-VISION) new ways of being in the world together. And we angels are showing Amy an image of one of your politicians and we are using this as an example of a way of being in the world, which creates division of the one from the other and which seeds division along fault lines of trauma, which were earlier set into place by your culture of greed and separation, guilt and shame.
For it is not this politician who is causing these fissures in the social/collective commons: the causes are there, and these are the creations of the culture of not-love - a culture of me versus you, of domination vs cooperation - all of which creates pain.
And we offer these examples: the confusion of witnessing acts of violence on television and in film as entertainment; the witnessing and receiving of acts of unkindness and escalating rudeness, acts of cruelty displayed as humor; breakdowns in civility and layers of structural padding which insulate your 'choice-makers' from the effects of the choices they make.
And we would offer these examples [of choices made from separation] from the culture of not-love:
• The CEO whose decision to lay off workers deals a blow - a personal blow - to hundreds of families.
• The editor who pumps up the drama in a news lead or magazine story, and misleads the reader.
• The [medical] insurance adjuster who denies a claim and condemns a family to lose a loved one.
• The military officer who orders a remote control bomb strike on a faraway land.
Though these seem small choices as they are made, they strike a blow. The effect is real and these seeming small actions aggregate, becoming EVIDENCE — in the heart of the worker denied his claim, in the mind of the magazine readers— that the world is less safe, less kind.
These ‘small choices’ create a particular form of trauma - and yes, all of these things create trauma: direct, personal trauma, as when a bomb lands on your house or your father is laid off and your family home is foreclosed upon. Direct personal trauma as when your body is poisoned; when your health care is cut off; when your loved one dies. And more subtle, indirect forms of trauma, experienced when stories of devastation and loss fill the news; when the world seems less safe, less kind than it actually is.
Though the choices of the CEO, military officer and editor may seem insignificant, they have their effects in the world. Effects which those who make these choices may never see directly, though as the world darkens for others, it will seem to darken, also for the choice makers.
So, even though the CEO may never look upon the faces of the workers he has fired, there is always blow-back. This is Karma, Amy is pointing out, and we say, Yes, and yet karma, expressed in this way can sound like revenge, like payback, and this is not the way of things.
The way of things is always flow and flow is always in call and response relationship with the wholeness of things.
In the wholeness of things, every action you take creates a wave and every wave is responded to by its mirror - a wave of like power (energy), in frequency and intensity. And so, the CEO may lose his connection to feeling; the editor may develop a stress-related illness; the bomb coordinator may have nightmares. Having created acts through the layers of insulation which more and more separate them from the effects of those acts, they may experience themselves as cut off from the world of feeling and sensing, from relationships; from sensation in their own bodies.
This may lead them to seek out healing or escape in ever-increasing stimulation, including more violence, more drama, just to be able to feel. And then, overwhelmed with the shadow effects of these things, they may reach to numb feeling altogether through drugs and other addictions.
And Amy is saying that this is the kind of statement that we make which worries her. As she writes what we show her, she feels pain in her arms and shoulders. She writes quickly, to keep up with our message, which we are bringing in images today as words are out of reach for her this morning. She is afraid of this part of our message and will need new willingness, new courage, in order to deliver it. And she sensed this message was coming and she hid from it for three days.
She hid in her own addictions to rich food and television; she hid in fantasies about the journey she would take to see her daughter. And this is not to say that she should not enjoy her life but, rather, that she used these things this week to hide - and checking Facebook every few minutes to connect there, instead of here.
And so we take a moment to reassure her now that we are here and this is real and that we stand behind our message and we stand with her. Amy can trust us and Reader, so can you.
