5-16 There is no project that we will not bless
While we do not stop any project you would begin, YOU will stop that which is harmful to your survival. For you are made in this way - and this way is built in to your nature.
I am here,” I say out loud and the guides suggest that I go and make the tea that I am thinking about as it will surely distract me to be wanting the tea and not having it. As I write this, the bird outside my window cheeps. It sounds like: Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay.
I laugh. I get up. Okay. I will make the tea and return to take the message down and perhaps I will sit outside. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay.
I settle on the swing by the back door. The air is alive. The blue sky soars above me. I close my eyes. Deep breath. Exhale. Okay.
(When the guides arrive, there’s a palpable shift in the air around me, a thickening, more density. Things vibrate faster, with more intensity and feel … closer. As you read the guides’ message, notice what you feel. Notice your way, your own way, of detecting guidance. There may be sensation in your body - bees buzzing nearby or inside of you. There may be a sound - a cosmic orchestra tuning up. You may feel a shift in temperature - around you, inside of you. You may not feel anything but, rather, sense things, see things, know things. We all receive and read guidance differently. What’s your way of knowing?)
The guides say:
And you are here - and we are here.
And we begin here, for this is always the way in - the way of call and response, the way of showing up, willing and really, of listening and willing to hear - for one never knows what message will arrive and so this willingness is key.
We have said that you choose the projects you will work on by your attention to them and this is true. It is also true that you will choose the conversations you will have by your attention. For if you wish to converse about biology, you may simply begin and if you wish to converse about the care and feeding of dogs or plants or people or babies, you need only begin and we are there, as we are here now, ready and willing to converse, to play, to engage any and all interests, concerns or questions that you have.
Indeed, we can ONLY answer those questions you pose, only converse with you on the subjects/matters that you choose, for we do not impose our will upon you. You are the chooser and the maker and we support you in all of your creative endeavors.
Amy is curious about this and she asks: Are there projects that you would not support? Projects you would deem as wrong or harmful or toxic to the one or the many, endeavors you would steer us away from? War, for example, or pollution or destruction of planetary resources? Are there things we would do that you prevent?
This is a wonderful question and bears fleshing out, for there is much here to see and to show/explain. And we are showing Amy a series of images to support our words.
We are showing her, through thought impression and imagery that, while we do not stop any project you would begin, YOU will stop that which is harmful to your survival. For you are made in this way - and this way is built in to your nature.
We have said before that you have free will and that you may choose any course and any project you will. You may pursue it as long as you will. Yet, we have demonstrated, also, that you will only enjoy the endeavors that support your well-being. Projects which take you out of alignment with your own nature will not feel right - and by your resistance to them, you will create symptoms of distress in the body-mind. These symptoms will guide you back to center, back to wholeness, back through the layers of healing to well-being.
There is no project that we will not bless. Yet it is the nature of the world in which you live to stop projects that do not support life. You may not destroy the planet, for the planet herself will stop you. You may not impose your will upon another for all are ultimately, free.
There is no project that we will stop yet your own nature will steer you away from projects which do harm to yourself, to others or to the planet. Which is to say, choices against yourself will make you stressed (in the mind), sick (in the body) and unhappy (in the emotions).
Our message is intended to support you in achieving clarity in the listening for the voice of your own nature and perceiving the signs and symptoms which tell you you have strayed out of alignment with your own nature - your own thread of wellness and wholeness.
The wind is blowing very strongly as Amy writes these words and she looks up, concerned that ‘we’ are blowing things up to get her attention. While wind and other weather events are never personal, it is true, yes, that we may stir things up to make a point. And so we did, and so we are - as she is not writing the words that we are saying but has, rather, gone into her own mind, her own thoughts in attempt to make lofty proclamations on what she deems’ big issues’ - big spiritual teachings which make her/cause her to worry about being held to explain things she does not fully understand. Big winds, which lift the cushions from the lawn chair.
So let’s talk about wind as a metaphor for these things that we would explain.
Amy looks up, bracing inside of wind that is bending trees. It’s a warm beautiful and powerful wind, and as it blows through, moving everything around her, she looks up and finds a small white butterfly there, playfully riding a gale - allowing itself to be lifted and lowered. The butterfly is not resisting the wind. It lightly dances with what is here.
A few leaves, still green - for it is June and they are new leaves) spin down to the grass. During pauses, the wind seems to breathe, pausing and blowing, it seems to swirl and circle, and the branches of the trees sway and circle with it.
By quieting her thoughts and shifting into observation of what is here, Amy begins to ‘hear’ our message of non-resistance, of noticing, of ‘being with’ what is here. And this is our message: Be the butterfly, playfully riding the wind. Dance with what is here - lightly and easily. For all is well and all of this, even the wind, is for you.
Now the birds are quiet. There is only wind. Now, during the pauses between blows, the birds call again. There is only wind and the ringing of our message in Amy’s ears. As the wind clears the air, so we are clearing out her thoughts.
Amy is looking up at the bright blue sky, where clouds move across. She is remembering how it was to fly above the clouds. As she thinks of this, a plane appears and flies over. A bird leaps from the treetops, spiraling straight upward and plunges back down. It is, all of it, every moment, responsive and playful - a living conversation.
Even this wind, is ‘for her’ - it is all for her. And it is all for you. Even as it is also, all for itself. As you are for yourself while you are, also, all for this. As we are for ourselves, while also, all for you.
The wind quiets now and so it will for it has served its purpose and our own. In the distance, a horse whinnies; a last gale whirls up. Amy looks up and sees, this time, the bright green vines which have climbed the darker green of the pine trees, winding around their trunks, heavy at the crown. In one way, the colors are beautiful, as the leaves of the vines flicker in the sunlight. These vines may be the wisteria which Amy herself planted 15 years ago and she fears - with a stab of guilt and powerlessness - that the vines will become so heavy and entangled around the trees that they will bring them down. And while she has said, for years, “Oh well, what will be will be,” she feels called, today, to do something about this.
And this calling enlivens her from powerlessness and guilt to thoughts of actions she might take. She might telephone a gardener, she might cut the vines herself - snipping them at the base and letting them die off and later, she might pull them away from the trees.
For these vines, she now sees are like the toxic thoughts that seem small - what harm could this little vine do to this big tree? I will plant it here and I will tend it later. I will keep it under control. But of course, it is the nature of a vine to spread and take over - to climb other things. For like all things, they have consciousness and purposes of their own which will be served.
She cannot control the vines. She cannot control the wind.
And we would re-mind Amy that the arrival of wind heralds change. It is a symbol that something new is approaching, swept into the world and into your life.
With these words, the door opens and Amy’s husband comes outside. He sits down across from her. She looks up and sees, floating across the sky, a strange cloud that looks like Hebrew writing.
“Look at that,” she says.
And her husband looks. “It’s the name of God,” he says. “Adonai.”
