I hope that this week has been kind to you. I hope this note finds you warm and quiet inside—and that your weekend included something to enchant and delight you.
This is a gentle reminder to marvel.
I hope that this week is kind to you. I hope this note finds you warm and quiet inside—and that your weekend included something to enchant and delight you.
Now, more than ever, I hope you’re finding spaces in your days to marvel. To be astonished. To look out a window at a world of beauty and miracles. To savor the little joys. A new flavor. Sugared ginger, perhaps. A perfectly seasoned cup of soup, a smile from a friend, a moment of reflection where you could simply be with yourself. At peace. In presence.
And if these things have felt out of reach, I understand. When the world feels chaotic, sensitive souls (like you, like me) must deliberately tend to ourselves. And by ‘self-care,’ I don’t just mean bubble baths and pedicures (though if they delight you, why not?). What I’m pointing to is something deeper—the deliberate cultivation of enchantment.
Because when the world is yammering on about how broken everything is, the only way back to truth is this: The world will go on doing what the world does. The only thing I can control is my response to it.
Will I give myself away to the noise? Or will I insist on carving out a me-sized space of love in the world?
Will I climb into that space and let love come around me? Will I rest there, inside of love’s embrace, remembering who I am, and what this world is - and is not.
In this week’s module of Sacred Ache, we are talking about enchantment. We are remembering beloved children’s books. We are making a journey out of one garden and into the next one.
I’ve made this one available to all subscribers - free and paid. Why? Because I want everyone to get a taste of this work - to experience the meditations, the themes and questions - to get the flavor of what we do here at Becoming Real.
You can find the module in your email, or simply click through to it here:
To pray with the river, we become the river ….
I look forward to hearing your reflections and responses. As always, your insights bring the work to life.
With warmth and all the blessings this week is flowing toward us all,
Amy
