Sacred Ache: Longing, Rediscovery, and Radiance
An Invitation to join the next Becoming Real Workshop(and Everything Still to Come)
Dear Readers,
This Thursday, January 16th, we begin our second Becoming Real Workshop — Sacred Ache: Longing, Rediscovery, and Radiance. Already a paid subscriber? You’re in! I’ll see you in the comments and discussion threads. :) Not subscribed yet? Join now or at any time. The workshop is evergreen - and the right time to take it is when you feel the call.
Like all the Becoming Real Workshops, Sacred Ache was born from what is emerging between us—in this case, a comment on a chapter of The Book of Splendor, a book I am currently writing and sharing here.
In that chapter, I walk with Shekinah, wrestling with my own longing for the “sweet syrup of the One Wisdom”—the distilled truth that would finally make everything clear. I am reminded of a student who once took my Soul Caller Training and later asked for a refund. Her email was gentle, heartfelt, and full of longing. She wrote simply: “I was hoping for a more essential teaching.”
So was I. Reading her letter, I felt the quiet plea in her words, the sacred ache she carried. That ache stayed with me, shaping everything I’ve done since. It transformed that student into a teacher, whose simple truth invited me to go deeper and distill my work into something that could meet her longing.
She was, unknowingly, calling me back to the foundation of my own work.
That’s the spirit of Sacred Ache: Longing, Rediscovery, and Radiance—and of everything I create here on Becoming Real.

In This Six-Week Workshop, We’ll Explore
Week 1: The Longing
Exploring the ache of incompleteness and the search for essential wisdom.Week 2: Encountering the Sacred
Recognizing the divine in everyday life.Week 3: The Garden and the Exile
Reinterpreting Eden: What if the exile was actually an invitation?Week 4: Reclaiming Beauty
Rediscovering beauty as a spiritual practice.Week 5: Light and the Shattered Vessels
Embracing imperfection, integrating all the broken pieces into divine wholeness.Week 6: Living the Radiance
Claiming your divine right to divine light.
Throughout our six weeks together, you’ll take your own walk with Shekinah—the mystical, manifest aspect of God that can be experienced directly. As described by the rabbis, Shekinah is the bride of the more abstract YHVH, the Hebrew name for the masculine divine. She is the divine feminine manifest on earth, the face, the visible presence of God.
More Than a Workshop
We’ll bring all of this together through lively discussions and Q&A, all unfolding in the comments section of each week’s module. I will be there with you every step of the way, responding to every note and reflection.
You see, this is more than a workshop; it’s an unfolding conversation. It’s about what emerges between you and me and the work itself. We are building this together — in the comments and discussion threads, in your own private encounter with the course materials. Your insights help to shape the work and the workshop itself.
How to Join
If you’d like to join me, become a paid subscriber for only $8 a month. You’ll gain access to all my workshops, including Sacred Ache and Constellation (already in the archive), and everything still to come.
