The Temple of the Rose
When you have lived for so long in the Temple of Brokenness, devoted to fixing yourself, it can be hard to imagine you could ever change. You can. And we invite you to your new home now.

No matter what faith tradition you follow, you are welcome. You are always welcome here. All dwell in the temple already. It is only a matter of opening your eyes.
This morning, I woke early. I came down to the kitchen, made tea and settled onto the little sofa in the corner of my office. The sun was just coming up as I opened the book that I’ve been ‘trying’ to read all week. I found myself dozing, shoulders falling forward until I woke with a start, neck aching. And, as I lifted my heavy head, I heard a voice:
And when the angel beheld the earth, he said, “It is good.”
I could feel a message pressing at the boundary of my awareness and I reached for a pen, as I awaited for the next line but…
We would have you speak these words into your recording device. And let us see what will happen.
I got my cell phone and turned on the Voice Memos app and closed my eyes. The message picked up right where it had left off:
And when the angel beheld the earth, he said, she said, “It is good.” And you are that angel. And we would have you now look upon your self and pronounce that you are good. For last night, Amy, you prayed, asking us to send a letter describing you as we see you through our eyes.
And now we will speak that letter through you, and you will be receiver of these words and also speaker. For this is the time of realization that you are the one, the only one who can bless you, the only one who can include you into the wholeness of blessing.
So even as we speak these words, you too speak them. You are speaking them in present time. And this is the time when we would have you claim this authority, this spiritual authority. And this is the time when we would have you acknowledge US as an aspect of your own consciousness, as we acknowledge you as an aspect of our own.
And we look upon you now, and we say, She is good. She is blessed. She is one of our own. She is our own sweet angel and she is good.
And to you, Reader, even as we speak these words to Amy, we speak them also to you. For you too are good and you too are blessed, and you too are holy and a part of the wholeness of blessing. We include you now in this wholeness. So that you, Reader, can see yourself as a reflection of the good, and of these words describing that, which is good.
So many words. So many words. So many words to say such a simple thing to offer, such a simple blessing: You are good.
And why is this so? Why do we need so many words?
Because for so long, so many words. have described you as broken, as unblessed, as sinful, as cruel, as evil, as messy, as clumsy, as awkward, as otherwise separate from blessing.
And with those words was the intention to separate you from your own goodness. And that intent was always followed by the offer of a cure, the medicine, the fix that would change you for the better. The fix that would alter what was wrong with you so that you could be right.
And so the very one who separated you from the blessing of your own goodness was now offering to return you to that blessing, if only you would change into that which, they believed, you should be.
And we tell you now that you are already perfect and in need of no such fix. Already as you should be and in need of no such medicine. For nothing is wrong, and you are the holy one, the only one who can reject these words of un-blessing, which you have swallowed, which you have absorbed in your walk through this world. These words which you have believed for so long that you have made them into reality. Words of un-blessing which you have built into a temple inside of yourself and devoted yourself to fixing before you die.
And we are here to say to you now, it's time to find a new temple.
It's time to find a new place of devotion for your precious attention. When you live in the Temple of Brokenness and spend all of your time trying to fix the walls of this temple. (And by this, we are using the temple as a metaphor to represent your life, your body, your story, your dwelling place on this material plane, this earth plane.)
When you have lived so long in the Temple of Brokenness and devoted your attention to fixing yourself, it's hard for you to believe that you can leave this place and enter another, the dwelling place of blessing. But you can, and we invite you there now.
We invite you to the dwelling place of blessing. We see you arriving there. And we ask you to see it with us now. Imagine a beautiful red rose. A beautiful white rose. You choose the color - pink, yellow, blue - your favorite color is the color.
Imagine your rose with its soft, delicate fragrance. It's gentle, velvety petals. And walk now, into the center of the rose and let the rose come around you. Imagine that you are stepping into the center of that rose.
And imagine that you are inside of that rose, surrounded by these soft, velvety walls of glorious scent and generous, silky petals, holding and blessing you.
You are welcome here. And this is the Temple of the Rose. And you are at the center of that temple. And imagine now that this rose is expanding around you and becoming a dwelling place. And this is the dwelling place of the rose.
This is the Temple of the Rose, and you are its inhabitant now and all that happens here is all for you. The ground beneath your feet, the walls around you, the perfume. Gentle. Subtle. Sweet. It’s all for you. It’s welcoming. It’s supportive of you, just as you are.
Find your sleeping chamber and look upon this room, this beautiful, open, spacious room, and find the place where you will sleep. And lie down upon it and let yourself rest.
Rest now in the Temple of the Rose of Blessing.
All is well. All is well with you. All is well with the world.
Sleep. Easefully, quietly held in safety and blessing.
Allow the sensory experience of being held, as you float on this soft cushiony bed, the sweet, soft fragrance of roses all around you.
And imagine that, as you sleep, the sun is setting and after the passage of the starry night, the sun rises again. A gentle mist falls over everything. Over you, over your skin, over your face. A gentle, warm mist falling over you now.
The dew of blessing.
Feel the dew of blessing of the Temple of the Rose falling over you now, touching every part of you - your head and face, your shoulders and torso. Feel the dew of blessing penetrating your clothing, touching your skin. Breathe in this blessing, drawing it deep into your body with each breath.
As you breathe, rest inside of this blessing, and allow deep rest to circulate through you, touching every cell of your begin.
This deep rest is the first room of the house of your new dwelling place. The Temple of the Rose, the house of the rose of blessing.
We leave you here now on this day. This Easter Sunday of 2023, with these words: You are loved. You are included, just as you are, perfect as a rose.
Now, as you open your eyes and look around, know that you are still inside of the Temple of the Rose. All around you now, this day dawns. A new beginning.
No matter what faith tradition you follow, you are welcome. You are welcome. You are always welcome here. All dwell in the temple already. It is only a matter of opening your eyes.
As we close this transmission, we ask Amy to notice how it is and how it was to allow us to speak to you through her. She sits in the sunlight of her own sweet dwelling place. Watching the bird on the wire, the fly buzzing at her window, the breeze ruffling through the lilac outside her window. And she's smiling and laughing, and she says, Yes, it is good.
I send you so much love - and all the blessings of this holiday season.
As ever, I love hearing from you - and so do the guides. Send an email, ask a question or leave a comment. Subscribe to this newsletter if you can. All of these actions support the continuation of this work.
