The Well: Interweaving with the world around us. Noticing what supports us, what depletes us.

You don't have to carry the weight of the nicknames, roles and 'assignments' you were given in the past. Expel them through the roots of your deep belonging.
The Well is meant to support you in your self-inquiry. Settle into a comfortable spot, open your journal and connect.
What does it feel like to be welcome?
This month, in Journey, my weekly Zoom gathering, we're extending our roots into welcoming soil. Noticing how, when we feel welcome, we feel safer, more stable - and more at home.
When we feel welcome, we more easily interweave with the root systems around us. We are more willing (and able) to absorb the nourishment, support and 'minerals' from relationships, community - at home, at work and out in the world.
This week, consider: What makes you feel welcome? What conditions - sounds, spaces, colors, people - make you feel at home?
Now, take a journey with your journal: Imagine you are standing on welcoming soil. Imagine roots extending from the soles of your feet, reaching down. Wiggle your toes (really). Feel your feet on the floor. What if this, right here, is welcoming soil? What nutrients are already offering themselves to you? What support is already holding you in blessing?
Now, notice anything that’s asking to be returned to the soil. Burdens you shoulder, other people’s expectations - ideas about yourself, your life, and the world that have outlived their usefulness. Imagine each of these things as stones. Feel their heaviness weighing you down like stones in a backpack. Set the backpack on the ground and begin pulling out the stones. Set them on the ground. Let the welcoming soil have them. Let them go. Notice how this feels to return the stones to the soil.
Write about anything that comes up in your journal. Add your reflections to the wecloming soil of this thread.
