Oh, Amy 💕

As I was reading and loving your way with words I felt like we were sitting on a comfy couch, curled up with tea. You and me. You share so wide and deep and generously. Thank you. Always, thank you.

I am right there with you dear friend. With tea. And maybe a little plate of cheese and cut up apples.

Oh my... have been out of this loop for a very long time, but am grateful for the inspiration that urged me to open this email. This is a lot. So many questions have opened up for me as I read this beautiful writing. I love the analogy of trying to piece together pieces of a puzzle (because I love puzzles) and felt a sense of relief in the question, "what if the puzzle is not (or never) finished"? Don't we all try to put the pieces together to make sense of our lives? Perhaps not, but I do. It actually becomes a magical sort of exercise, but yes, there will always be more spaces and pieces to fit... and so it goes.

After reading this, my thought is, “There is so much power in the small words ‘to be’.”

Tell me more about this. What thought came after this one?

I don’t recall what thoughts came afterward, but just being who we really are and just being in the present is all that matters— to me. You have experienced a serious life threatening situation (as you know I have, too) and I see it has brought you to be—just be you, not the personas we all feel we need to wear and be. It is an epiphanous moment IMHO. Love you, cousin! xoxo

whoa. What an amazing piece of writing. Thank you. I will come back to it for there is so much to absorb. (I subscribed).

One thought occurred to me... a technological idea. IF you have an iphone or a Macbook, I encourage you to try the app JUSTPRESSRECORD ... Dirt eacy (just press the record button) and it give you a high quality recording AND a darn accurate transcript. Thought this might help you when you have a flash thought and want to get it down.

Be well.

I wake up, thinking of your note again. I want to say a different kind of thank you. The kind of thank you that acknowledges: Hey, you saw something specific about me and that makes me feel real. The thing you seem to have noticed about me: I have flash thoughts that I want to get down. I do. and I'll bet that you do to. (Waving hello.)
